Joyce Riney Peters
A special bond with nature and plants has been Joyce’s constant companion. She uses traditional English watercolor with dry-brushing, appreciating what it offers in respect to fine detail. Botanical art, which includes scientific illustration, seems the perfect blend.
While striving to get certified as a Botanical Illustrator, her independent study of a few native plants and their pollinators brought a deeper understanding and passion. Supporting our native pollinators by growing native plants and showing others the large diversity of native plants seems to be constant.
Joyce is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists, Southwest Society of Botanical Artists, Native Plant Society and Central Arizona Butterfly Association, University of Arizona certified Master Gardener, Smartscape graduate and Watershed Steward.
