SONORAN DESERT WILDFLOWERS POSTER

Producing the Sonoran Desert Wildflowers poster was a way for the Arizona Native Plant Society (ANPS) to further their mission to foster interest, appreciation and understanding of native plants. It was also a way to raise funds to support the mission. From the onset of the project the vision was to produce a poster that was beautiful as well as botanically accurate. Thirty-two species of wildflowers were chosen for the poster.

The original colored pencil drawings of each plant were drawn on an 11’w x 17”h drawing paper. By creating this larger drawing more detail and form of the plant could be shown, most of which was maintained when the drawings were reduced and the poster digitally produced.
