When art and science intersect, amazing things happen; worlds are revealed wherein facts and concentrated study sit comfortably alongside artistic curiosity and wonder. This exhibition takes a close look at artworks that harness this combination while focusing on the flora and fauna of the Sonoran Desert and the greater Southwest. Paintings, drawings and digitally generated illustrations are on display by regional artists whose work is fueled by detailed observation paired with a passion for color, composition, and visual beauty.
Artists featured in this exhibit include Margarethe Brummermann, Linda Feltner, Rachel Ivanyi, Paul Mirocha, Narca Moore Craig, Margaret Pope, and Manabu Saito.
